To view the secrets, requests, and approvals, click on Admin->My Secrets.
All Secrets
- Log in to Britive.
- Click on My Secrets from the navigation menu. The All Secrets page displays the vault and all the nodes to which the user is entitled to. The user can view the secrets and download the secret file from the node, which is allowed in the policy.
- Select a particular node to view the stored secrets. The following details of each secret are shown here:
- Secret Name
- Description
- A path where this secret is stored in the vault always starts with a root (/)
- Status: The latest approval status is shown here.
- Approval Required: Click on View Secret and click Send Request. The approval request is sent to the approvers specified while creating a policy.
- Approval pending: The approval request is pending.
- Available: The user can view the secret.
- Action: View secret displays all the details about a particular secret. The details are displayed based on the selected secret template. If the OTP Seed is selected in a secret template, the OTP is displayed in the details. This OTP is used to log into the application using MFA. The OTP refreshes every 30 seconds.
- If Step-up Verification is configured while configuring the secrets policy, you must select the preferred authentication method to view and edit the secret. For more information about configuring step-up verification for secrets policy, see Secrets Policies. If WebAuthn authentication is configured, a user is prompted with a WebAuthn verification popup. In the same way, if only the OTP is configured, it prompts for the OTP. To register a verification device, see User Settings.
- For WebAuthn: Click View Secret with WebAuthn and complete the verification process on your registered device.
- For OTP: Enter the OTP from the authentication app and click View Secret with OTP.
