    This section provides the prerequisites for onboarding an AWS application (or AWS standalone application) to Britive as well as those for checking in or checking out profiles after onboarding the application.


    1. Onboarding Prerequisites

    The onboarding prerequisites include getting the required accounts and accesses and performing specific configurations in AWS, as explained in the following sections.

    1.1 Accounts and Access

    You must have the following accounts and accesses before onboarding AWS application(s) to Britive:

    • Active AWS account(s)
    Note:
    There can be a management AWS account and member AWS accounts linked to the management AWS account.
    • Administrator access to AWS account(s)
    • Active Britive tenant account
    • Administrator access to Britive account

    1.2  Configurations in AWS  

    Before onboarding an application in Britive, you must perform the following steps:

    1. Adding an Identity Provider in AWS
    2. Creating an IAM Role in AWS

    Note
    You need to perform the preceding two steps in AWS for each account (management account as well as member accounts) that need to be onboarded to Britive.

    2. Prerequisites for Check out and Check in of Profiles

    Before using the check-out and check-in functionality in Britive for the onboarded AWS application, you need to associate the new IAM role or existing IAM roles in the AWS account(s) with the Britive Identity Provider.
