For collecting users and groups from GCDS, the service account that was created is required to impersonate a cloud identity sync user. Follow the steps below to create a user and assign the Britive API Role created using Creating a Custom Role process:
- Login to Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS).
- Select Directory-> Users from the navigation menu.
- Click Add new user.
- Enter the user name details. For example, Britive API.
- Select Automatically generate a password in the Manager user's password, organizational unit, and profile photo section.
- Click ADD NEW USER.
- Copy the username and password and login as this user at least once.
- Click DONE.
- Click on the created user from the list of users.
- Click on ASSIGN ROLES.
- Assign the Britive API Role that was created using Creating a Custom Role process:.
- Click SAVE.
