    Article summary

This onboarding guide explains how to onboard Google Cloud Platform (GCP) applications to Britive.

Once you have registered Britive as an application in GCP and configured the prerequisite steps, you can proceed with the onboarding steps and add a GCP tenant application in Britive.

After onboarding, you can scan the required GCP organization or environments from Britive to get the details (such as permissions, groups, or accounts) associated with them. You can also check out and check in profiles from the onboarded GCP applications.

Onboarding a GCP Application: Steps and Functionality

You need to create two sets of service accounts and custom admin roles. The first set is used to collect roles, permissions, and service accounts from GCP and is able to manage the same for JIT permission grants. And the second is created within Google Cloud Directory (GCDS) to collect and manage group memberships of the users in GCDS. This is further described in the image below with the basic steps in onboarding a GCP application to Britive.
