Managing Shared Signals

To know more about shared signals, see the Shared Signals Framework (SSF) introduction. In SSF terminology, the external system sending signals acts as a transmitter. In Britive, that trusted inbound source is configured as an issuer.

  1. Log in to Britive as an administrator.

  2. Click Admin -> Security -> Shared Signals. Three tabs: Transmitters, Receivers, and Events are displayed.

  3. Transmitters:

    1. Click Add to add a new transmitter.

    2. Enter a name and description for the transmitter.

    3. Enter the URL in the Issuer URL field.

    4. Click Manage to update the transmitter details or to map this transmitter with an event.

      1. Select an external event URI from the list and map it to a Britive action.

      2. Click Save.

  4. Receivers:

    1. Click Add to add a new receiver.

    2. Enter a name and description for the receiver.

    3. Enter the URL in the Receiver URL field.

    4. Click Manage to update receiver details or to map this receiver with an event.

      1. Select a Britive event type and map it to a standard event URI.

      2. Click Save.

  5. Events: A list of all transmitted or received events is displayed here. Each entry shows the event type, the action taken, and whether it succeeded or failed.
