All Britive profiles created for an application can be checked-out when user needs access to the application.

Users can view approval requests, and manage (review/approve/reject) approvals from the My Access page only if the enhanced Britive profiles feature is enabled.


All profiles marked as Favorites are listed in this tab, categorized by the Access type. The user can add a particular profile to favorite collection by clicking on My Access->All Profiles and clicking Mark as favorite icon next to profile name.

Frequently Used

All frequently used profiles are listed in this tab.

All Profiles

  1. Login to Britive.
  2. Click on My Access->All Profiles to view the profiles. The view displays the application name and associated profiles. The profiles are categorized by the access type, Console/Programmatic/All. 
  3. Select a particular profile to either check out or check in. The following details of each profile are shown here:
    • Profile name
    • Application name
    • Access type: Console or Programmatic
    • Last used
    • Status: The latest approval status is shown here.  
      • Checked Out: The profile is checked out.
      • Approval Required: Approval is required to check out a profile. 
      • Pending Approval: The approval request is pending.
      • Available: The user can check-out a profile.
    • Time Remaining: Time remaining for a checked-out profile.
  4. Click on Check Out button to check-out the profile:
    1. If approval is not required, the profile is immediately submitted for check-out. The status changes to Check Out Submitted and then to Checked Out. It also displays the validity of this check-out.
    2. If approval is required, enter justification and click Send Request. The user is notified when the request is approved by the approver via the specified notification medium defined in the policy. The request can be tracked under My Requests tab from My Access page. 
  5. Click on Check In button to manually check-in the checked-out profile else the profile is automatically checked-in after the expiration time specified in the profile.

Checked Out

This tab displays the checked out profiles. The user can manually check-in the profile by clicking Check in button or the checked-out profile is automatically checked-in after the expiration timeout.

My Requests

All the requests for approval sent by the user for each profile are listed under this tab.

  1. Login to Britive.
  2. Click on My Access->My Requests. The list displays all the requests sent for approval.
  3.  The following details of each request are shown:
    • Requested On
    • Action
    • Resource:  Application Name:Profile Name
    • Justification: provided by requester while sending a request.
    • Approver(s): Name of approvers selected from the profile policy.
    • Approval Status:
      1. Approved
      2. Approval Pending
      3. Request Expired: Approver did not approve the request in the specified time or the validity of this request expired.
      4. Rejected: Approver has rejected this request.

My Approvals

All the requests submitted for the approval are listed on this page.

  1. Login to Britive.
  2. Click on My Access->My Approvals to see the requests needing approval.
  3. Action: The approver can approve or reject the request.
  4. Approval status:
    • Approved: The request is already approved by the approver.
    • Approval Pending: Click on All Profiles to view the details of a profile before approving or rejecting this request.
    • Rejected: Approver has rejected this request.

Users can act on approvals from a mobile device by clicking on the specified link.
