Introduction

Administrators can use the Security tab for the following security-related configurations:

• Creating API token
• Downloading SAML Metadata and Certificate
• Step-up Verification Settings
• Network Settings

Creating API token

API tokens are used for secure API communication.

1. Login to Britive with administrator privileges.
2. Click Admin -> Security.
3. Click on the CREATE TOKEN button on the API Tokens tab.
4. Enter the name and validity of the API token. The validity counter is refreshed with every use of a token.
5. Copy and save the token.

Downloading SAML Metadata and Certificate

SAML metadata is required for using Britive as an Identity provider.

1. Login to Britive with administrator privileges.
2. Click Admin -> Security.
3. Click on the SAML Configurations tab.
4. Copy and save Sign-in URL and Sign-out URL. 
5. Download SAML Metadata. This downloads the SAML metadata as an XML file to your computer and is required to configure the Identity Provider.
6. Download the SAML certificate. This downloads the .cer file on your computer and is required to configure SSO on the identity provider.
