    Logging into Britive

    • PDF

    Article Summary

Britive uses SAML authentication to speed up the login experience with minimum user input. All users with a single federated identity provider can log in with a single click to Britive and other related tools such as PyBritive CLI.

The login screen is different for tenants with different numbers of SAML IDPs:

    • No SAML IDP is configured: The users must enter the username and the password field and click the Login button.
    • One SAML IDP is configured: The users see a Login with SSO button and a separate section with the username and the password field.
      • A SAML user needs to click on the Login with SSO button and it takes the user to the SAML provider.
      • A non-SAML user should use the username and the password to log in.
    • Multiple SAML IDPs are configured: The users only see the username field first. The user enters the username and clicks the Login button. If the user belongs to any SAML IDP, it takes the user to that provider. If the user does not belong to any SAML IDP, the password field is shown and the user can provide the password to log in.

For more information about creating identity providers, see Service Identity Deferation.
