Administrators need to communicate important information/announcements to users. Examples include planned maintenance activity or other messages related to Britive services. Administrators can configure a custom system announcement message displayed as a banner and for a certain period for users.
To configure the system announcement:
- Log in to Britive as an administrator.
- Click on Admin->Global Settings->System Announcement.
- Turn Display System Announcement ON.
- Select the Message Type from Info/Warning/Caution.
- Type the message.
- Select Start and End Date/Time if the message needs to be displayed for a specified time.
- Click Save.
- The message is displayed as a banner after refreshing the page, post-login, or after 10 minute polling period. If the message is read/displayed already, it can be accessed through the Announcement icon from the top right side of the page.
