# Scanning Environments

You can scan the environment(s) within the onboarded AWS applications from Britive.

Note

You should complete the prerequisites for onboarding (described in [Prerequisites](/v1/docs/prerequisites-aws-onboarding)) and also onboard the AWS application successfully before scanning the environments in the AWS application from Britive.

Perform the following steps to scan an environment in an onboarded AWS application:

1. From the **Scans** page, select **Scan Environments**.
2. Select the checkbox inline to the environment that you want to scan and click **Scan Selected**. The scan results are displayed on the **Scans** page.

The **Overview** page shows the detailed scan summary data and analytics.

The **Data** page displays a detailed view of **Permissions**, **Groups**, and **Accounts**available****within the AWS account.
