### 1. Onboarding Prerequisites

The onboarding prerequisites include getting the required accounts and accesses and performing specific configurations in AWS, as explained in the following sections.

#### 1.1 Accounts and Access

You must have the following accounts and accesses before onboarding AWS application(s) to Britive:

- Active AWS account(s)

Note:

There can be a management AWS account and member AWS accounts linked to the management AWS account.

- Administrator access to AWS account(s)
- Active Britive tenant account
- Administrator access to Britive account

#### 1.2 Configurations in AWS

Before onboarding an application in Britive, you must perform the following steps:

1. [Adding an Identity Provider in AWS](https://docs.britive.com/v1/docs/en/configuring-identity-provider)
2. [](https://docs.britive.com/v1/docs/en/configuring-identity-provider)[Creating an IAM Role in AWS](https://docs.britive.com/v1/docs/en/configuring-iam-roles)

Note:

You need to perform the preceding two steps in AWS for each account (management account as well as member accounts) that need to be onboarded to Britive.

### 2. Prerequisites for Check out and Check in of Profiles

Before using the check-out and check-in functionality in Britive for the onboarded AWS application, you need to associate the new IAM role or existing IAM roles in the AWS account(s) with the Britive Identity Provider.
