This standardizes session management for all user types. 1. Log in to Britive as an administrator. 2. Click on **System admin** -> **Security** -> **Global Session Settings**. 3. Click **Edit** to enter the following values: - **Global Session Timeout**: Enter the desired timeout in hours (valid range: 1 to 12 hours). This setting sets the duration of user sessions before automatic logout. - **Application Token Expiry**: Enter the desired application token expiry in hours (valid range: 1 to 720 hours). Application tokens expire after this selected duration, and users need to re-authenticate to continue using the application. - **Temporary Token Expiry**: Enter the desired temporary token expiry in hours (valid range: 1 to 24 hours). Administrators must create a permission with *securityadmin.temptoken.create* and assign it to a non-root service identity via a policy. For more information, see [Britive Authorization](/v1/docs/britive-auth). 4. Click **Update**. Any changes to the session settings take effect in 30 minutes.
