# Downloading OCI Federation Metadata

You need to download the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Federation metadata and use it while onboarding the Oracle Cloud application to Britive. This metadata is required to establish trust between OCI and Britive Identity Provider. This is an XML document that contains information about the OCI endpoint and certificate information.

Perform the following steps to download the OCI metadata from the Oracle cloud:

1. Log in to Oracle Cloud Console with administrator privileges.
2. Click **Identity & Security** from the navigation menu.
3. Click **Domains** from the **Identity** section.
4. Click on **Default** domain.
5. Click on **Identity Provider** under the**Federation** tab.
6. Click on the newly created identity provider.
7. Click on the **Export SAML metadata** under the **Actions** drop-down list.
8. Click **Download XML**. The OCI Federation metadata is downloaded to your computer.

Save this information to use in the onboarding process described in the next section.
