# Credential Providers

A credential provider supplies the runtime credentials an MCP server needs when a tool is invoked.

1. Log in to Britive.
2. Click on **System admin** -> **MCP Management** -> **Credential Provider**.
3. Click the **Create Credential Provider** button and enter a **Name** and **Description.**
4. Configure **Consumers**:
  1. Application Profile: Click on **Select Application Profile** to add application profiles and environments.
  2. Secrets: Click on **Select Secrets** to add secrets.
  3. Resources: Click on **Select Resources**.
5. Click **Save**.

Each MCP server can reference this credential provider, but a given server accepts only one credential provider at a time.
