Create a Britive service user and credentials
- Log in to the Oracle Cloud Console with administrator privileges.
- Click Identity & Security from the navigation menu.
- Click Domains from the Identity section.
- Select the root compartment in the navigation if it is not already selected.
- Click Default domain.
- Select the User management tab.
- Click Create to create a new user. For more information about creating a user, see Oracle documentation->Creating a User.
- Enter the following on the Create User page:
- Enter First name (Optional) and Last name. In Last name, enter the name of the user—for example, BritiveUser. There should not be any spaces in the name; only numerals and special characters (such as underscore, hyphens, periods, *, and @) are allowed.
- Enter Username/Email (for the email of the user). Select Use the email address as the username, if required.
- Click Create. The new user details are displayed.
- Copy the OCID from the User information section. This is required for onboarding the Oracle Cloud application in Britive.
- Add the API Keys in the newly created user configuration from the API keys tab.
- Click the Add API key. The Add API Key window is displayed.
- In the Add API key window, you can add the API key in three different ways:
- Generate API key pair: The API key pair is automatically generated.
- Choose public key file: If you intend to upload a public key file that you have generated, you can select this option.
- Paste a public key: You can directly paste the content of the public key file that you have generated.
- Alternatively, you can also download the private key and public key directly from the Add API key window.Note:You need to upload the public key in Oracle Cloud. The private key is required for the Britive configuration.
- To add the API key pair, click Add. The Configuration file preview is displayed.
- Click Close. The Fingerprint is displayed under the API keys section.
- Copy the Fingerprint of the public key.
Grant Domain Role to the Britive service user
- Add the user to the IdentityDomainAdministrator role, under Domains->Default Domain->Administrators.
- The previous step must be repeated for each domain that is to be onboarded to the Britive tenant.
