# Configuring Slack App

Note:

To ensure optimal performance and prevent conflicts, only one Britive app **must** be installed per workspace.

Follow these steps on Britive and Slack to add and configure Slack App:

1. Add a **Slack Application** notification medium in Britive using the steps specified in [Creating and Managing Notification Mediums](/v1/docs/notification-medium#slack-application).
2. Integrate the configured Slack channel with the Britive app to receive notifications on the Slack channel.
  1. Right-click on the Slack channel you want to use.
  2. Click on the **Integrations** tab and click **Add an app**.
  3. Select the Britive app.
3. Add the newly created Slack application notification medium to the profile policy. For more information about adding a notification medium to a policy, see [Managing Britive Profiles](https://docs.britive.com/v1/docs/profilemgmt-managing-profiles#policies).
4. Once configured, you can verify using */britive hello* command from your Slack workspace. For additional Britive commands, see [Britive ChatOps Command Reference](/v1/docs/britive-chatops-command-reference).
